sensitive

you know how when something sticks out in your mind, it primes you so you see even more of that same something in the other faucets of your life?

tonight on our drive home, we saw a new moon hanging low by the streetlights. it was serene, beautiful, but (of all things) it made me anxious because it reminded me that time is cyclical but that it's not, so how many new moons will my grandparents be around to see before they find meaning in it? before they find meaning in you?

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end — it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
